Born in New Jersey and, while living in Japan for two years as a toddler,
learned to speak Japanese as well as English!
Valedictorian of graduating class at Huntington High School.
Summa cum laude graduate of Marshall University with majors
in Latin and French.
M.A. in Secondary Education from MU.
Graduated summa cum laude.
Taught Latin and/or French at Huntington High School and St. Albans
High School.
Served as Foreign Language Supervisor for the state of West Virginia.
Sponsor of the CCHS Junior Classical League.
Named Foreign Language Teacher of the Year in West Virginia
in 1985.
Golden Apple Achiever in 1998 awarded by Ashland, Inc..
SCOLT Outstanding Foreign Language Educator K-12 in 2000.
Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the West Virginia Youth Symphony.
Chairperson of the Program Committee of the Board of Directors of
the West Virginia Humanities Council.
Active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and member of the choir.
Loves cats, reading, listening to classical music, cooking, gardening,
and traveling.
