Important Information
  • "Our goal for the year is to build a foundation for the seven-year program at CCHS."

Meetings & Conferences:
The sixth grade teachers usually hold conferences daily from 10:15 AM - 10:30 AM. Other times are available, if necessary. To request a conference, please contact the school office. If you have concerns, please make an appointment.
Exploratory Classes:
In addition to their regular classes, sixth graders at CCHS take an exploratory class each day. There are four of these classes, including Art (Mrs. Burch), Music & Drama, Library Skills (Mrs. Krack), and Word Processing . Students will take one each quarter.
Homework & Assignment Book:
Students typically have homework each night. Teachers try to limit that amount to about 10 minutes per subject. Please encourage your students to do the following: 1) Write all assignments in the assignment book, daily. 2) Find a quiet place to work. 3) Eliminate distractions (e.g., video games, computer, phone, TV, music, etc.) as these things really do make homework more difficult. Parents, you are encouraged to check the assignment book regularly to make sure students are using it properly.
