Semester Exam Schedule
Sixth grade:
  • Wed., 12/13 exams for periods 1 & 2; 11:15 dismissal
  • Thurs., 12/14 exams for periods 3 & 7; 11:15 dismissal
  • Fri., 12/15 exams for periods 5 & 8; 11:15 dismissal
Seventh grade:
  • Wed., 12/13 exams for periods 5 & 7; 11:15 dismissal
  • Thurs., 12/14 exams for periods 1 & 2/3; 11:15 dismissal*
  • Fri., 12/15 exams for periods 4 & 8; 11:15 dismissal
*Seventh graders will not take a foreign language/ exploratory exam during the exam periods. Students who take French 2nd period will take their theology exam (3rd period) during the second exam period on Thursday, 12/14.

Eighth grade:
  • Wed., 12/13 exams for periods 5 & 7; 11:15 dismissal
  • Thurs., 12/14 exams for periods 1 & 2; 11:15 dismissal
  • Fri., 12/15 exams for periods 3 & 8; 11:15 dismissal
High school:
  • Tues., 12/12 exam for period 2 (8 – 9:30 a.m.); 2:45 dismissal
  • Wed., 12/13 exams for periods 1 & 3; 11:15 dismissal
  • Thurs., 12/14 exams for periods 6 & 8; 11:15 dismissal
  • Fri., 12/15 exams for periods 4 & 7; 11:15 dismissal

Dress Down Guidelines - Exams
Exam Dress Down Guidelines: We will be following the "Casual Dress Days" guidelines in the student handbook.

Highlights:
  • Casual slacks, jeans, or skirts/dresses of appropriate, modest fit may be worn (comply with guidelines in handbook).
  • Dresses or skirts, if worn, must not be higher than two inches above the knee.
  • All Shirts must have sleeves.
  • Athletic shoes, sandals, boots, and clogs are acceptable.
  • No pajamas, lounge pants, sweatpants, yoga pants, athletic pants, or leggings may be worn.
  • Flip-flops or Athletic Slides may NOT be worn.

Any student not following these guidelines will be considered out of uniform and sent to the office to change. Students will also lose their next dress down opportunity.

Dear parents and students:
    Earlier this week, as I stood at the front door to greet the students, I realized I had a gigantic grin on my face. It came as I watched our students enter the building with their wrapped gifts of all shapes and sizes for this weekend's Clay County Christmas Party. I was especially tickled as I heard the students' conversations as they walked past me, about wrapping paper choices and about the challenges of wrapping some of the uniquely shaped gifts. I even heard a few of them comparing their boxes and sharing details of what they bought. My joy sprung from their enthusiasm for giving to others. Read more...

Order a CCHS/Blenko Brick online!
As part of the Charleston Catholic community, we ask for your help as we continue Building on Excellence. We have partnered with the Blenko Glass Company to offer keepsake Charleston Catholic etched art-glass bricks, each one handmade by West Virginia artisans.

Bricks are 7 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 1 1/4" clear glass, etched with the school name, and are available with or without the class year.
